Emagine Entertainment
Emagine's online ticket sales from search grew 76% in a year
A luxury theater chain needed its marketing measured in tickets sold, not clicks. Development, paid media and SEO now work from the same purchase data.

The goal
We've worked with Emagine since 2021. It runs luxury movie theaters across the Midwest. Its marketing has one job above all others: sell tickets, then win a bigger share of moviegoers in every market it serves.
That meant knowing which theaters, which films and which campaigns actually sold seats.
What we found
The previous agency reported impressions and clicks, and nothing about tickets or revenue. Without purchase data, nobody could say which locations deserved more budget or whether a studio film outsold the evergreen campaigns.
In search, most traffic came from people who already knew the Emagine name, the site was slow on phones, and AI answers rarely cited Emagine at all.
The team
Paid media, development and SEO share one view of the business: tickets sold.
Paid media
Keeps every theater and every new release in front of moviegoers, including each new theater as it opens.
About paid mediaWeb design and development
Runs the site and its connection to the ticketing system, and built the loyalty, gift card and checkout features moviegoers use to buy.
About web design and developmentSEO
Grows the share of moviegoers who find Emagine without searching for it by name, including in AI answers.
About SEO
Development and paid media rebuilt the measurement together, so every campaign reports the tickets it sold. Because development owns the site and the checkout, those numbers come straight from the source. SEO now works from the same purchase data, which is how we know search growth turned into ticket sales.
What we did
We architected the measurement first. Starting in 2023, development and paid media tied every campaign to the tickets it sold, so campaigns could be judged on tickets instead of clicks.
With real purchase data, we optimized every theater and every release on what it actually sold.
In late 2025 we accelerated with a search program aimed at moviegoers who don't yet search for Emagine by name, and at the AI answers they increasingly ask. By June 2026, online ticket purchases from search were up 76% on the year before.
The results
- Online ticket purchases from searchJune 2026 vs June 2025
- +76%
- Clicks from searchJune 2026 vs June 2025
- +58%
- Clicks from searches that don't name EmagineJune 2026 vs June 2025
- +38%
